Miles away from the university, a report was furnished for a governing entity far from the public eye. There, a panel of faceless bureaucrats learned of a new field of scientific understanding that would someday be known as “lexikinetics,” and of the strange happenings in the university’s nuclear laboratory.
It was there they saw the advantages offered and the chaos that would ensue should news of the discovery become widespread. Overcome with a sense of duty to their nation, they set a rotten plan into motion to contain the spread of knowledge, and to appropriate it for themselves and for the glory of their homeland.
